I'm sorry this is some artisanal bitching but I'm so sick of it, it feels like there's maybe 3 people in english spaces making character plush.

So everytime I see someone new, someone making something cute, my heart rises that there's another!! But then it's just a factory run and op probably hasn't even done a ladder stitch in their life.

This ties into being sick of the commercialization of fan spaces too where no one can afford to not turn their love of [insert media] into a business. But this one is personal so it pisses me off more.

It's my personal plush version of like, AI art. Imagine being in a super niche and a new artist arrives and posts so much art of your favorite niche character no one knows about and you want to bond with them artist to artist. But you realize they're just AI generating all their fanart. That's how it feels.

I'm full of self doubt and existential dread today and bitching about this is preferable to that lmao
